Dr. Rosalia Saavedra earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. She also holds a Bachelor's in Psycho-Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Saavedra completed her externships at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and Clinica de La Raza in Oakland, California. She is certified to fit specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses for keratoconus and dual focus and orthokeratology lenses for myopia management.
Dr. Saavedra remains committed to her professional development as an active member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and the Alameda-Contra Costa County Optometric Society. She has been practicing in the Bay area for over 28 years and is fluent in Spanish. Outside her practice, Dr. Saavedra enjoys spending quality time with her husband and her two sons.
